Learning Objectives
- Participants will be able to describe the role of the CAGE and the ASI in the screening and evaluation of addictive disorders.
- Participants will be able to explain at least one common reason that clients with SUDs seek help for an alternative mental health problem.
- Participants will be able to describe the role of ambulatory and inpatient detoxification in SUD treatment.
- Participants will be able to provide clients with psychoeducation about the pros and cons of abstinence and moderation as goals for treatment.
